True self-esteem in teens: creating the foundation to thrive

Self-esteem is less about self confidence and more about self accuracy.  For young people who may be swayed by peers and social media, an authentic self image can steer them past certain influences to thrive in school and beyond.

In this online seminar, Dr. Mark Rothman, Registered Psychologist, discusses how parents can use the summer months to better understand and support their teenagers build self-esteem in preparation for the next academic year and into adulthood.

Dr. Rothman will share his perspectives on:

  • Understanding true self-esteem and how it is developed
  • Strategies to support teens toward an authentic self image
  • Coping and resilience skills, plus helpful resources

There will be a few minutes to address some questions at the end of the seminar.
