Far more than a typical yearly check-up, the Annual Health Assessment will provide you with a complete and detailed picture of your current health, as well as any future risks, so you have a starting point for better lifelong health and wellness.
The Annual Health Assessment is completed in a five-hour session, ending with a discussion with the physician of all your results from the entire assessment. With your assessment, we ensure you receive world-class care and service before, during and after.

When you book your Annual Health Assessment appointment, you will receive one or more email messages from us. These messages will provide instructions to help you prepare for your appointment, so you get the most benefit and insight out of your assessment.
You will also receive email messages to remind you of your appointment.
We will provide instructions by email on how to sign in to myMedcan, a secure online portal for Medcan clients. You will be asked to take 15 to 30 minutes to complete the Preparation Package online within myMedcan.
The online Preparation Package is a questionnaire that collects your key medical information and history, as well as a typical food diary. Completing this in advance of your Annual Health Assessment ensures your Medcan team has all the critical information they need to discuss your health and wellness goals with you, and interpret the results from your assessment.
You will also have the opportunity within the Preparation Package to indicate your interest in additional Medcan services to tailor your day with us.
To ensure the accuracy of your diagnostic tests, we will ask you to not eat or drink for 4 hours prior to your appointment time. If you have a late appointment, we recommend a low-fat light breakfast consumed at least 4 hours before the start of your appointment. We also ask that you refrain from alcohol consumption for 24 hours prior to the appointment time.
Don’t worry about being hungry! We will ensure the tests that require fasting are completed early in your session. You will be provided with a healthy and delicious breakfast or lunch, snacks, and full beverage service.
