Time: 5:30 - 6 p.m.

Presented by: Dr. Gina Di Giulio, Director of Psychology

Demands from our daily lives can make us try to be everything for everyone. This can lead to internal pressures, leaving us more vulnerable to exhaustion, chronic stress and even burnout (the side effects of which can include heart disease, diabetes, depression, disrupted digestion and reproduction, anxiety and panic).

Self-care is crucial to sustainable well-being. We all need to ensure our oxygen mask is firmly on before we can be there for others.

In this online seminar, Dr. Gina Di Giulio, Director of Psychology, will focus on how to practice self-care day to day.

From 5:30 to 5:50 p.m., Dr. Di Giulio will discuss:

  • The three stages of stress
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and related research findings
  • Self-care techniques you can practice immediately

At 5:50 p.m. there will 10 minutes for a few questions.
